DVD Stories: Film Shorts Competition

EARLY DEADLINE for entry: Films must be postmarked by 7/10/2009.
One entry per category per person.
Youth: 0-11 years old
Teen: 12-17 years old
Adult: 18+ years old

Entry Categories:
Short Narrative – (10 min. max) A short film on any topic.
Fair Advertisement – (2 min. max) A “commercial” for the Hardwick Fair.

Rules
Preview copies (DVDs) will not be returned.
All films must be in English.
Preview copies must be submitted on DVD Region 1/North America only in AVI (Audio Video Interleave) format.
Please test computer-burned DVDs on several makes and models before submitting. Any material submitted that is not in the correct format will be disqualified.

All entries become the property of the Hardwick Fair and may be used in any manner including, but not limited to, posting on the Hardwick Fair Website and public viewings.

Please submit material suitable for all viewers. Any material submitted deemed pornographic or vulgar by judges will be disqualified.

Each entry should be filmed, designed, compiled, and edited solely by the “Director.” Actors and other production help are allowed as long as they are listed in the Credits on the registration/entry form.  Please do not use any copyrighted material, such as other film footage or music not composed by the Director.

Print the Entry Form, fill in all fields, and mail according to directions on the Form.
Submit the Entry Form along with 2 (two) copies of the DVD and the entry fee of $20. Checks can be made payable to “The Hardwick Fair.”

All entry fees will be distributed to the winners in each category as cash prizes.
